Getting to Falls Creek

Falls Creak Coach Service/Caltex Tawonga has winter fuel and good value chain hire 7 days a week. They offer undercover and outdoor park and ride service for those not wanting the hassle of driving to the snow. For more info 

Resort Entry and Parking

Outside of the declared snow season, no resort entry or parking fee applies.
During the declared snow season, Resort Entry & Parking Fees apply.  This fee helps provide parking facilities and snow clearing services, cross country trails, and ski patrol. To purchase your resort entry permit please go to https://www.fallscreek.com.au/resortentry/

During winter, parking is in the resort’s overnight car park. Parking attendants will direct you where to unload your luggage and show the driver where to park.

In summer, there is street parking available throughout the village. During peak times including Christmas/New Year, Peaks Challenge and Easter, village access may be limited. You will be able to access the village to unload/load luggage but will be required to park your car in the resorts overnight car park area.

Snow chains are a legal requirement for ALL vehicles entering Falls Creek alpine resort. All vehicles (including 2WD & 4WD) must carry a pair of snow chains even when the roads are clear during the declared snow season. Random checks from police will be carried out during the season and fines do apply. Snow chains can be hired from various ski hire and service stations on your way to Falls Creek or you may wish to purchase/hire them before you commence your journey. There is designated snow chain fitting bays along the mountain ascent so make sure you are aware of how to fit chains correctly. Make sure you have a torch, towel, gloves and a plastic sheet as you never what time of the day or in what conditions you may need to fit snow chains.


Accommodation Transfer Service

During the winter season when the village roads are closed, the accommodate transfer services takes you and your luggage from the car park to your accommodation. See more information https://www.fallscreek.com.au/accommodationtransferservice


Supermarket - Foodworks

Located at the bottom of Halley’s Express chairlift, in front of Slalom Day Carpark. If you shop before 2pm they can deliver your groceries to your lodge. https://foodworkshighcountry.com.au/falls-creek-deliveries

Post Office

Falls Creek Post Office is open year-round in its Slalom Plaza Location. Located directly in front of Foodworks alongside the stairs to Slalom Plaza.

Child care

Located in the QT complex in Slalom Plaza (at the base of the Falls Express chairlift). The centre is open to children aged 12 weeks to 5 years old. For more information https://www.fallscreek.com.au/childcare/

Medical Centre

The Falls Creek Medical Centre is located on the Bogong High Plains Rd, close to the bottom of the Gully Chairlift. You can contact the centre by calling (03) 5758 3238. Open every day during the snow season between 10am – 3.30pm All after hours phone calls are directed to a mobile number; be prepared to write down instructions. An ambulance is available on the mountain The nearest pharmacist is in Mt Beauty but some non-prescription items are available from the Falls Creek Medical Centre. During winter scripts can be filled and sent to Falls Creek by delivery service (not available in summer).
Delivered scripts can be collected from Falls Creek Resort Management 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm.

Fuel/petrol station

Falls Creek does not have a fuel station. Mt Beauty fuel stations are closest open from 7am – 7pm all year round. The RACV runs emergency operations 24 hours a day 7 days a week during the season.
