Nelse Lodge – Terms & Conditions, Payment Policy & Privacy

These Terms & Conditions apply to all reservations made with Nelse Lodge (“the Lodge”). By making a booking, guests confirm they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, including the Payment Policy and Privacy provisions.

Bookings & Availability

All accommodation is subject to availability. Nelse Lodge reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary. A valid credit card must be provided at the time of booking as security.

Payment Policy

Deposits & Final Payment

Bookings made more than 30 days prior to arrival require a 50% deposit of the total accommodation cost to confirm the booking. The deposit must be paid within 48 hours of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

Bookings made within 30 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking. Payments made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.

Failure to make payments by the required due dates may result in cancellation of the booking without notice.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of the deposit less a 15% administration fee calculated on the total booking value.

Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival are non-refundable.

No refunds are provided for no-shows, early departures, or unused nights.

Any booking change that reduces the total booking value, including shortening the stay, reducing guest numbers, or changing dates, is treated as a cancellation and subject to this policy.

Security Bond

A refundable security bond is required prior to arrival.

Suites: $500

Apartments: $1,000

The bond may be pre-authorised on a credit card and is refunded subject to inspection after departure.

Payment Methods

Visa and Mastercard are accepted. A credit card surcharge may apply. Direct debit payments may be accepted by prior arrangement.

Minimum Stay Requirements

Minimum night stays apply and may vary by season, peak winter periods, school holidays, or special event dates. Applicable minimum stays will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in is available from 2:00pm.

Check-out is by 10:00am.

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and management approval. Unauthorised late check-outs may incur a $250 fee.

Late / After-Hours Check-In

Guests arriving after reception hours must arrange late check-in in advance. A late check-in fee of $250 applies. Arrivals without prior arrangement may not be accommodated.

Occupancy, Noise & Conduct

Maximum occupancy limits must not be exceeded. Excessive noise, unauthorised gatherings, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate eviction without refund and additional charges.

Quiet hours apply between 10:00pm and 7:00am.

Non-Smoking Policy

Nelse Lodge is a strictly non-smoking property. Smoking anywhere inside the building is prohibited and will incur cleaning and recovery charges.

Guest Responsibilities & Room Care

Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required during their stay. Deep-cleaning or room recovery fees from $300 per night, plus professional cleaning costs and loss of room revenue, may apply.

For fire safety reasons, personal cooking appliances are not permitted. Rice cookers are the sole exception where in-room cooking facilities exist.

Seasonal & Weather Disclaimer

Nelse Lodge operates primarily as a winter destination. Weather conditions, snow coverage, lift operations, and resort services are outside the Lodge’s control and no snow or weather guarantee is provided. Standard cancellation policies apply regardless of conditions.

Fitness Centre & Wellness Facilities

Use of the fitness centre, pool, spa, and sauna facilities is at the guest’s own risk. Access is limited to persons 16 years of age and over, unless accompanied by a responsible adult, and the facilities are not lifeguarded. Guests must ensure they are medically fit to participate, accept the risks associated with unstaffed use, and comply with all house rules, directions, and safety signage. Nelse Lodge reserves the right to refuse or revoke access or remove guests where use is considered unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive.

Privacy

Guest information is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy laws. Personal information is collected solely for the purpose of managing reservations and providing accommodation services.

Payment details are securely processed through approved payment gateways. Guest information is not shared with third parties except where required by law.
