We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We are required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). Falls Creek Central Reservations (FCCR) managed by the Falls Creek Chamber of Commerce Inc. complies with all 10 of the National Privacy Principles as detailed below.

1 - Collection: Collection of personal information will be fair, lawful and not intrusive. FCCR will only collect information directly relative to accommodation booking and/or other related services on offer.  The individual will be informed to the purpose of information collected.
 
2 - Use & Disclosure:  FCCR will not disclose an individual's personal information for any secondary purpose unless it is reasonably understood that the information is required to be shared.  eg. an Individuals name and contact details will be shared with the accommodation premises in which they have booked.  

3 - Information Quality:  FCCR takes reasonable steps to ensure personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate, current and complete.

4 - Data Security:  FCCR takes reasonable steps to protect the personal information it holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

5 - Openness:  FCCR has a transparent information collection policy, which upon request is available to anyone who wishes to see how/why information is collected, stored and utilized.  

6 - Access and Correction:  Upon request, an individual my access and view all information FCCR holds pertaining to that individual.  FCCR will make make all reasonable effort to effect changes and corrections where necessary. 

7 - Identifiers:  FCCR will not adopt, use or disclose an identifier that has been assigned by a Commonwealth government 'agency'. 

8 - Anonymity: FCCR welcomes any individual to anonymously inquire into availability and pricing of accommodation.  When booking accommodation, preservation on anonymity may not be possible and will depend upon the policy of the property an individual is booking. 

9 - Transborder Data Flows: FCCR will ensure that An individual's information protection is applied to data transferred overseas. 

10 - Sensitive Information:  FCCR will not collect sensitive information unless an individual has consented.

 

 

Openness
An organisation must have a policy document outlining its information handling practices and make this available to anyone who requests it.
